Hello all, I'm not entirely sure just how active the Verdun Wikia Community is, but if you're reading this, thanks for helping maintain the wiki! I am planning on putting in a request to adopt the wikia. I am not sure if their are any admins left on the wikia that are still active, please speak up if you are! If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to voice them here.
A lost of really cool quality of life updates happened in build #67. Gladly nothing game shattering, which means that I didn't have to update that much of the guide...
I'm still working on tactics so if you have any suggestions, feel free to pop me a pm or post in thread.
Also a skype team headed up by banana is looking promising. I will certainly be there, so if you want to chill and play verdun with cool people (and dogs I might add) go in that thread and IN for it.
Yeah, I'm working on the tactics section now full blast. I got part of it up today even... If you know any killer strats or anything related feel free to chime in. Currently I'm working on stuff related to what happens when you fail... think about that.
I also need to test something about the way holding your breath works in regards to sprinting.
Apparently I got most things wrong with spawn mechanics in my original version of the guide. From when the NCO could spawn guys (in yellow and green, not just green) to when you spawn normally.... The guide is currently correct to my understanding though.
If anyone knows anything about the way people spawn I would be glad to hear from you. The main problem I'm wrestling with right now is how to block a team from spawning in their line. I haven't quite figured it out. I will passively test some things out while I do some game play for the "tactics" section, which will probably be split into two big parts.
As some of you have heard I'm currently entertaining the idea of making some videos to go along with the guide. That involved a lot of research into video capture that I had never needed to know before. Anyway, I'm making good progress and it was great to play the game while testing out the videos.
Currently one full match (both rounds) comes out to around 10GB of uncompressed video (!!!). I'm currently compressing it down and I'll see how it works itself out.... Update, Compression takes it down to 1 GB and it still is in 1080p. Looks like I could od some videos!
Anyway, more later.
I hope to work on a major update to the guide near the end of the week.
