The Mauser 1918 T-Gewehr (TankGewehr) is the first purpose-made anti-materiel rifle ever produced, relying on the heavy 13.22 mm "TuF - Tank und Flieger" (tank and plane) cartridge to puncture Entente tanks. Rather than disabling the tank itself, the primary purpose of the single-shot T-Gewehr was to produce a "spray" of shattered cartridge that could wound the tank's operators. The gun was incredibly heavy, and thus intended for a crew of two operators, weighing 41 lbs. with it's bipod attached, and was known to strain and even break the shoulders of it's user.

The T-Gewehr is not usable in the Frontlines game mode, but can be used in Rifle Deathmatch (formerly called Attrition). Given that there are no tanks present in the game, the T-Gewehr has no special use, but it's high-powered cartridge ensures any successful shot will result in a kill at most ranges, and that penetrating cover does not change this.
